Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and has been awarded many international and national awards. She has worked with many governments and organizations across the world on research and policies relating to children who have been people who are victims of the law. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
